Events Chair
Role Description
This role will be responsible for developing and implementing Club monthly events, programs, and special events. The Events Chair will assist the President and Vice President with:
- Planning and implementing an events calendar and budget, including securing venues, support staff, and equipment
- Working with the Creative Team to create a promotional plan, including publishing content to Eventbrite event registration pages and the Club website
- Working with the Sponsorship Chair to develop sponsorship programs tailored to each event
- Procuring event materials and negotiating with vendors to ensure the Club is paying competitive, group, or non-profit rates
- Procuring a Virginia ABC license for select events not hosted at a restaurant or location with a pre-existing license
An ideal Events Chair will have 1 - 3 years of experience with event planning and management, experience with Eventbrite, and be willing to commit to being on the board for one year.
