Honors Include Snaring Advertising, Design and Interactive Awards at Richmond Show
Richmond and Roanoke, Virginia-- Neathawk Dubuque & Packett recently won several awards in two prestigious advertising competitions.
At the Third District ADDY Awards, where Neathawk Dubuque & Packett competed among entries from North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia, the agency won a Special Judges Award for Hidden Humor in Fine Print for an invitation to an event at Wintergreen, that also garnered a gold in the industry self-promotion, creative services and industry suppliers, cards/invitations category. Credits for the Wintergreen invitation are John Griessmayer, creative director and copywriter; Whitney Pratt, senior art director, and Jennifer Hays, art director. The same team also won an ADDY gold award in the industry self promotion, creative services and industry suppliers direct marketing/specialty category for a holiday promotion.
Separately, ND&P won a total of four awards recently in the Richmond Show, one of the southeast’s most prestigious advertising events. The agency won a merit award in advertising for its Greater Richmond ARC (Association for Retarded Citizens) billboard campaign with Kevin Grimsdale as chief creative officer, Maurice “Mo” Davis, art director, and co-copywriters of Grimsdale and Doug Payne of the Greater Richmond ARC.
In design, a poster campaign for Stone Mountain Zendo won a silver award for poster design and was created by John Griessmayer, creative director and copywriter, Whitney Pratt, senior art director, and Archie Lee Coates III, designer/illustrator. A birth announcement by Pratt and Griessmayer also won a merit in design in the promotional design and advertising self-promotion category.
In interactive, an e-mail created by Pratt, Greiessmayer and Coates was awarded a merit in the “Beyond the Banner” category.
