We had a lot of awesome nominees for this year’s Ad Person of the Year.

John Mills was ultimately selected because of his years of experience and the unique way in which Release the Hounds operates. The 9 year old agency, which he founded, dedicates 30% of its yearly workload and resources to social good initiatives. John also co-founded TEDxRVA and is a member of the Street Art Festival board.

In 2017 John and his Release the Hounds team helped to create the Soundview Project. This initiative helps to get instruments to schools and other organizations in need. The Street Art festival completed worked at the Diamond in 2017 as well.

His dedication to community service and the quality of the work produced by Release the Hounds made him an ideal candidate.
